Guerrilla Scan

Research, World, Ongoing

This is an ongoing research project that seeks to capture real-world performative acts involving people, animals, plants, etc., focusing on dynamic movements rather than static 3D forms. It employs low-tech methods of capturing.

What happens when low-tech 3D scanning devices, such as an outdated iPhone, are used to record situations that continuously change during the scanning process?

The often unpredictable and flawed results of this process are stored in a growing digital repository and are sometimes reconfigured within virtual spaces.
