Moncler Studio Ascenti

Set Design, Paris, 2023

(ab)Normal, in collaboration with Highsnobiety, has developed the set design for Moncler Studio Ascenti, which took place on July 10th in Paris.

Inspired by the ever-evolving interplay of nature and technology, the project comprises diverse spaces that capture the essence of Moncler 's most recent prototypes and collaborations. Inside the building, guests were guided through a series of "Element Pods": small dioramas designed to test products under various outdoor conditions and terrains.

In the central courtyard, Moncler’s in-house footwear was presented on an 8-meter-long light table, recalling the idea of a laboratory in the wilderness. Carefully curated archival pieces from Dylan Patel’s personal collection were showcased on custom-made display elements all around. Finally, the mezzanine space was transformed into an immersive workshop for Salehe Bembury’s Trailgrip twist.
